Registration for the 2010 Laugavegur Ultra Marathon opens on 5th January 2010 here on the website. Payment can only be made online by Visa or MasterCard.

Runners who receive notification of a race number from 1 to 400 have confirmed places. Runners who receive a race number 401 or higher have been placed on a waiting list. Upon registration, two receipts are automatically issued: one gives the race number and the other is a receipt of payment. Runners who are put on the waiting list will be reimbursed in full if they do not receive a confirmed place.

Entry fees include

• Course and safety marshalling, drink stations and bananas on the course.
• Baggage transport to Bláfjallakvísl and Húsadalur (Thórsmörk).
• Race shirt, race memento, and individual prizes.
• Changing facilities and showers in Thórsmörk.
• Post-marathon barbecue in Thórsmörk.
• Medical assistance in Thórsmörk.
• Official time-keeping, race number and race information.
• Transport from the course for runners who fail to make the cut-off time.

Bus transport
(recommended for all foreign participants, our bus sponsor has the best price)

Requests for bus transport will open later. Closer to race day, runners will be asked by e-mail whether they request bus transport on Saturday 17th July from Reykjavík to Landmannalaugar in the morning and to Reykjavík from Húsadalur (Thórsmörk) in the evening. Return tickets (round trip) only are available. Bus transport prices are per seat and no reduction is given if runners travel only part of distance by bus. Click here for information on bus prices.

Entry fees cannot be deferred to the following year.

Conditions of entry

A registered entry is not transferrable to another name.
All runners are responsible for their allocated race number, and must not give their number to another runner to use.
A runner using a number not allocated to him/her by the race organisers is not a valid competitor.

Four start groups

Runners will be divided into four start groups depending on their predicted finish times. Each runner may request to run with another runner. Runners who wish to be in the same start group should both send in a request. All attempts will be made to put runners into the group of their choice. Runners will be contacted by e-mail closer to the race for details of start groups.

Race packets

Race packets should be collected from the offices of the Reykjavík Sports Union and Reykjavík Marathon, Engjavegur 6, 2nd floor (next to the Laugardalur Sports Hall), between 09:00 and 17:00 on Thursday 15th July and Friday 16th July. Baggage for transport to Bláfjallakvísl should be deposited when race packets are collected.
