Registration for the 2010 Laugavegur Ultra Marathon opens on 5th January 2010 here on the website.
Runners who receive notification of a race number from 1 to 400 have confirmed places. Runners who receive a race number 401 or higher have been placed on a waiting list. Upon registration, two receipts are automatically issued: one gives the race number and the other is a receipt of payment. Runners who are put on the waiting list will be reimbursed in full if they do not receive a confirmed place.
Registration is open until 1st July but will be closed without notice when the maximum number of 400 runners is reached. Note that last year we were sold out after only five days!

Are you thinking of registering for the 2010 Laugavegur Ultra Marathon? Then you should check out our new videos from last year.
The Icelandic runner Petur Helgason made a 30 minutes long film about the 2009 Laugavegur Ultra Marathon. Petur´s film starts when the runners take the bus from Reykjavik to the start of the race in Landmannalaugar and ends when he finishes the race. On the way Petur takes interviews with runners, tourists and staff. This film gives you a very good idea about what you should expect when you run the Laugavegur Ultra Marathon.
You should also check out the video Team Poland made after their visit to Iceland last summer. The four friends from Poland Jerzy, Piotr, Krzysztof and Michal visited some of Iceland´s most beautiful places before they ran the Ultra Marathon.
